| 2006-08-01 18:03 | Telstra will be performing a series of ADSL upgrades nationwide between August and September 2006. Some of the work will involve software upgrades in order improve reliability and performance of your ADSL service. This will also resolve oustanding ADSL issues.
Empcom customers with ADSL services may experience service disruptions on one of the dates below. The outage will last up to 60 minutes in total within the outage window specified.

| 2006-07-26 16:14 | For the third time in three months, a cable fault on the Southern Cross cable is causing slow speeds for Australian broadband users. ISPs affected include Optus, Westnet, iiNet and Internode, with users reporting slow speeds and timeouts from international sites. According to reports from ISPs, the fault lies in Calfornia and involves a faulty line card. It was initially thought the repair would take a few hours, but the latest reports indicate the repair may be some time away yet. The frequency of these outages and the resulting impact has highlighted the issue of network redundancy, with some ISPs able to cope better than others. | 2006-07-26 10:56 | Our upstream provider, AAPT, wishes to advise customers of an issue within the international peer carriers network. Due to this ongoing fault AAPT have implemented the Bronze management policy for international traffic. This issue is currently causing degradation to all international traffic. Engineers are investigating. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing.
